The battery compartment is located on the back side of the tape ring, which gives an even distribution of weight.
Changing the magnification is done by installing the appropriate lenses one at a time, or a combination of two lenses. When two lenses are installed, the magnification ratio is summed up.

It should be borne in mind that the focal length depends on the magnification of the magnifying glass. The larger the magnification, the shorter the focusing distance.
