This printed circuit board is designed for self-assembly of an adjustable voltage regulator on the LM317 microcircuit. The LM317 is a monolithic integrated circuit in a TO-220 package designed for use as a positive polarity voltage regulator. Designed for load currents greater than 1.5 A with an output voltage adjustable from 1.2 to 37 V. The rated output voltage is selected using a resistive divider, making the device extremely easy to use. In this design, a voltage regulator circuit with protective diodes is used.
The DA2 microcircuit and the J2 connector are installed on the board if it is necessary to have an additional fixed voltage, for example, to power a digital voltmeter. It must be remembered that the 78LXX series stabilizers allow an input voltage not exceeding 35 volts. In this case, the maximum AC input voltage should be no higher than 22 volts.
