Radioconstructor - a kit for self-assembly of a voltage stabilizer module on the
L7815 microcircuit.
The kit includes all the necessary radio components for assembly, a heat sink, a printed circuit board and a brief instruction. Microcircuit
L7815 is a positive
linear voltage regulator in TO-220 package. It is rated for
up to 1.5A load current with
15V output voltage.
The input power supply can be
DC or AC , thanks to the presence of a diode bridge of four diodes at the module input, as well as a 1000μF filter capacitor.
The L78XX series stabilizers use
internal overcurrent and overheating protection , making it virtually indestructible.
Please note that an output current of 1.5A with a long-term load can be provided only with a small difference between the input and output voltages, power from an alternating current source, and also subject to the temperature regime of the microcircuit. You can familiarize yourself with the characteristics of the microcircuit by reading
datasheet . It is also not recommended to turn on the stabilizer without at least a small load with a high difference between the input and output voltage.
